Dougherty Valley High School Gymnasium, San Ramon, CA

Architect: Akol & Yoshii, Walnut Creek, CA

A new high school for 2,200 students was built in the San Ramon Valley Unified School District. Charles M. Salter Associates provided acoustical services for the gymnasium and other school buildings. The gymnasium includes a sound-absorbing roof deck and wall treatments to control excessive reverberation during athletic events and school gatherings. We also designed the sound systems for the outdoor football stadium, pool area, main gymnasium, auxiliary gymnasium, and commons building.
