Grand Theatre Center for the Arts, Tracy, CA

Architect: ELS Architecture and Urban Design, Berkeley, CA

This historical building dates to 1923. The art center includes a 560-seat Vaudeville-era proscenium theater with a rigged fly tower and orchestra pit, a new 100-seat black box theater, a dance/movement studio, visual arts studios, and music studios. Charles M. Salter Associates helped incorporate acoustical finishes in the historical fabric of the proscenium theater. Our firm also provided acoustical design consulting for the black box theater.
