Walt Disney Family Museum, San Francisco, CA

Architect: Page & Turnbull, San Francisco, CA

This museum is entirely devoted to telling the story of Walt Disney's life and work. It is run by the Walt Disney Family Foundation, an independent non-profit organization. The $85 million museum is located within three renovated buildings in San Francisco's historical Presidio District.

Acoustical work by Charles M. Salter Associates included reduction of footfall noise between vertically stacked galleries in a wood frame building, improvement of sound isolation, design of an auditorium, and control of central plant mechanical equipment noise. Our firm developed the audiovisual system infrastructure capable of accommodating current and future exhibits. Audiovisual design was also incorporated in the fully equipped multi-media auditorium.
