DeTurk Round Barn, Santa Rosa, CA

Architect: TLCD Architecture, Santa Rosa, CA

Charles M. Salter Associates provided audiovisual system design for the conversion of this historic 1890s barn into a museum and for-rent event center located in the West End neighborhood of Santa Rosa. Of particular concern was the desire to retain the round structure's rustic character, while incorporating technological upgrades. The $2.1 million renovation was funded in part by grants from the California Cultural and Historical Endowment. The DeTurk Round Barn reopened to the public in the summer of 2011 and is one of only two completely round barns in California.
