The Inn at the Presidio, San Francisco, CA

Architect: Architectural Resources Group, San Francisco, CA

This 22-room bed-and-breakfast is the first hotel in the historic San Francisco Presidio. The rehabilitation and renovation of the brick revival building, which was built in the early 1900s and used as officers' quarters, included updating all interior fixtures and systems. Salter provided acoustical consulting on the sound isolation between guestrooms, meeting rooms, and back-of-house services to minimize excessive noise transfer. Salter also recommended noise and vibration mitigation for plumbing and mechanical systems to reduce background noise levels and improve guest satisfaction. The hotel comprises a number of recently revitalized buildings in the Presidio and welcomes visitors to an area of San Francisco where culture, history, and natural beauty all converge.
