Salter provided acoustical and audiovisual consulting for the LEED Platinum headquarters of this global philanthropic network that addresses environmental issues. The 15,000 square foot office tenant improvement, housed in the historic Russ Building, was the highest-scoring LEED for Commercial Interiors project in California at the time of its completion in 2010. Our audiovisual consultants focused on two of the conference rooms and a pre-function gathering space. Both conference rooms are videoconference capable and the audio quality for conversations with remote participants was a very important design goal. Many of their meeting participants call from cell phones, making audio quality a top priority. For an aesthetically finished room, the loudspeakers were hidden behind ceiling features and fabric where possible.
