Robert D. Hammond, PSP, NICET III | Principal Consultant

Robert's career began in 1972 working for a security and fire alarm integration company. Much of Rob’s industry experience comes from 30 years with this small integrator that, through acquisition, grew to become a world leader. There he wore the hats of a technician, software programmer, project manager, trainer, designer, and operations manager. He worked in several departments including installation, engineering, research and development, marketing, and sales. Rob designed and deployed some of the industry’s first enterprise-level security, access control, and fire alarm monitoring systems. He worked on high-profile projects throughout the U.S. and internationally.

Rob’s industry experience includes nearly 10 years of consulting, during which he worked with owners and architects, designing and deploying security and fire alarm solutions for their unique applications. Much of Rob’s industry depth comes from working in a variety of markets such as higher education, healthcare, manufacturing, commercial, residential, corrections, courthouses, nuclear power, research, airports, military, and government projects.

Rob prides himself in designing solutions that are responsive to the stakeholder’s operational needs. Security and safety that impedes the organization’s efficient operation is frequently underutilized and circumvented. Avoiding these limitations requires an understanding of the client’s workflow, culture, policies, and procedures.
