David R. Schwind, FASA, FAES | Senior Vice President

David has been consulting in acoustics since 1975. He was the first to graduate from Purdue University as an acoustical engineer in Interdisciplinary Engineering comprising the study of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, and Design. His expertise includes room acoustics design, sound isolation, and noise reduction and vibration reduction for buildings, equipment, and products.

David specializes in acoustical design for a wide variety of facilities, including theaters, performing arts, museums, civic buildings, and broadcast music and film studios. His current and recent consulting projects include Post-Production for Technicolor at Paramount, TOHO Studios Post-Production Center 1, anechoic chambers, Salesforce.com offices, Freight & Salvage concert venue, and the Grammy Museum. Previous projects include Pixar, Colburn School of Performing Arts, Genentech, Letterman Digital Arts Center, California Theater for the San Jose Opera, Walt Disney Concert Hall, Berkeley Repertory Theater, and Harris Concert Hall in Aspen. His broadcast facility experience includes Network Centers for Fox and Turner, and numerous local affiliates.
