Craig L. Gilian, RCDD | Principal Consultant

Craig has worked in some form of communications since 1971 when he was a sergeant in the Army working in a communications center. He started formally in the communications industry in 1986 installing intercom systems. After that, he worked as an electrician and morphed into physical plant manager for voice communications and infrastructure design for LAN and WLAN at a large non-profit in upstate New York, where he also was in charge of contract administration for communications infrastructure. He has worked since 1999 as a consultant in the structured cabling industry where he was the lead consultant for a firm in Texas. He specializes in master planning; building program development for corporate, high-end residential, government, and university projects; inside and outside plant structured cabling systems; data centers; and healthcare construction projects. With over 24 years of experience, Craig has led numerous multi-disciplinary teams where he was in charge of quality control in design and document production. His projects have ranged from 50,000 square feet up to a million square feet. He has been invited to lecture at national technology conferences on several occasions.
