Blake M. Wells, LEED® Green Associate | Consultant

Blake merged his talents in science and math with an interest in audio and music to study acoustics. With his degree, he worked on the City of Chicago Residential Sound Insulation Program by day and played bass in a band by night. Eventually, his passion for environmentalism led him to earn a master’s degree in sustainability. Through that program, he mingled with architects and engineers seeking to solve some of society’s greatest challenges in the face of dwindling resources and diminishing quality of life. Following graduation, Blake packed a bag and headed for enlightenment about these issues with a one-way ticket to India. His travels took him across the subcontinent, through Southeast Asia, and down under to Australia and New Zealand on a two-year journey of exploration.

Having found a place for growth and professional development at Salter, Blake looks to combine his education in acoustics and sustainability to create comfortable environments with a whole-systems approach toward materials, energy, and quality of life. Since starting with Salter, he has worked on a number of exciting projects, including AT&T Park, Uber, and the Curran Theatre.
